🧠 Fibre Network Installation & Testing

Client: CityFibre (Subcontracted via F Tech Communications)

Location: South Yorkshire & Greater Manchester

Challenge: Deliver large-scale FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) connectivity
across multiple residential zones.

Solution: Managed and executed full fibre splicing, OTDR testing, and fault isolation across networks of up to 492F fibres.

Technologies Used: Fusion Splicer, OTDR, Single-mode & Multi-mode Fibre, PIA Infrastructure

🛠️ Retail Data Switch Upgrade Project

Client:
National Retail Chain (confidential)

Challenge: Upgrade in-store self-scan units and data infrastructure with minimal business disruption.

Solution: Replaced legacy switches, configured new IP setups, tested systems pre-launch, and documented final install reports.

Technologies Used: Cat6 Ethernet, Excel configuration, IP routing, bespoke scripting for device compatibility

🏡 Domestic Smart Home & Network Setup

Client: Homeowner in Barnsley

Challenge: Deliver seamless Wi-Fi, smart security, and internal networking in a newly renovated home.

Solution: Installed Cat6 cabling, Wi-Fi extenders, Ring doorbell, home CCTV, and structured cabling for Smart TV, PC, and NAS backup system.

Technologies Used: Cat6 cabling, TP-Link Wi-Fi Extenders, Ring, Hikvision, Synology NAS

🌐 Garden Office Broadband Extension

Client: Home-Based Business, Sheffield

Challenge: Provide strong broadband connection and internal Ethernet for
a remote garden office 25m from the main house.

Solution: Installed external-grade Cat6 armoured cable from the main router, terminated into a patch panel with wall sockets, plus a dedicated Wi-Fi access point.

Technologies Used: Outdoor-rated Cat6, RJ45 terminations, PoE Access Point, Weatherproof housings

🔐 Commercial CCTV & Alarm System Integration

Client: Local Business Unit, Wakefield

Challenge: Secure multi-access commercial unit with limited wiring infrastructure.

Solution: Designed and installed a full CCTV and intruder alarm system with remote access via mobile, including cable management across challenging
industrial ceilings.

Technologies Used: Hikvision DVR & IP Cameras, Wireless Sensors, Structured Cabling, Mobile Remote Monitoring

📞 VoIP Phone System Deployment

Client: Small Office (10+ Users), Doncaster

Challenge: Replace aging landline system with modern VoIP solution that supports remote work.

Solution: Installed VoIP desk phones, configured SIP accounts, and trained staff on call forwarding and voicemail management.

Technologies Used: Grandstream VoIP Phones, SIP Trunking, Ubiquiti EdgeRouter, VLAN setup
